Katie Holmes enjoyed her time in Miami over the father’s day weekend with hubby Tom Cruise and daughter Suri. Instead of flying with others, the Cruise ladies flew to Miami in their private jet to see daddy Tom. Suri and her mommy have been flying back and forth between L.A. and Miami due to Tom filming Rock of Ages, but instead of spending  real quality time together, the girls had to wait for Tom to get done filming in order to jumpstart the father’s day activities. The cute couple and their sweet Suri spent fathers day on their yacht in Miami, however, dodging the rain. The married couple also got some alone time by going out to salsa dance with some of Toms costars from the set. But where did they leave Suri? Hopefully not home by herself.

During the time Tom was filming, Suri and Katie got quality mother-daughter time while venturing out to sea to enjoy a day on the beach! Katies hard work in the gym sure has paid off! Finally, she shows off some skin which she hasnt been doing lately. Katie showed off her new body, but in a motherly way, wearing an non-flashy bathing suit and covering her bottom up in a pair of shorts. Conservative or insecure? I say conservative! Still, her abs cannot go ignored. She may be skinny, but shes got rock hard abs that any mother would love to have!

But Daddy Tom isn’t the only busy parent between the two. Katie now has her own clothing line with partner Jeanne Yang equipped with expensive clothing that can be considered potential Suri hand-me-downs. Holmes and Yang, also the name of their line, have been working on their collection since 2009, but had a soft launch for the clothes last year which may be why you hadn’t heard about it, because I hadn’t.  Katie says, “Sometimes when life gets really busy you don’t want to have to think about what it is you’re going to wear,” Holmes tells New York Magazine. “You just want to have certain pieces that you know you can just depend on.” But these pieces are by no means cheap. A blazer would cost about $1,400 and a pencil skirt would cost $1,250.

Katie is getting her fashion and family on. She may not be the best dressed every time we see her, but it’s most likely because she is becoming an excellent mother and now….fashion icon.
