Kate Hudson’s New Man: Baby Bingham

July 26th, 2011

Actress meets rockstar sounds like a reality TV show, but Kate Hudson and fiancé Matthew Bellamy are the real thing!

Two weeks ago, the couple welcomed new baby boy Bingham Hawn Bellamy. Why Bingham?

“For those wondering, Bingham is my mum’s maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt’s dad,” Matt tweeted. “Family connections all around!”

As for the middle name, its a tribute to proud grandma Goldie Hawn, of course. Matt also tweeted that “mum and baby are strong and healthy,” which is good because they’re soon to be jetting across the pond!

According to UsMagazine.com, Kate “plans to take their baby to the U.K. to stay with the Muse singer, 33, while he works on a CD.” They also reported that Kate asked for trees at her June 5th baby shower instead of gifts so she could plant them at her new home in England. Sounds pretty serious to us, but Kate always knew the relationship would be.

“In the beginning I felt like, okay, this is going to be heavy. Am I prepared for this? Because it had been a while, and I wasn’t looking for that,” she said to InStyle. “But I just couldn’t stay away. I wanted to talk to him and be with him all the time. On our first dates we would take long walks and talk the entire day.”

Here’s a happy Kate on a family beach day with Matt and her son Ryder last week.

If you weren’t convinced before, this proves it: wayfarers are where it’s at this summer! Other hot celebrities in the Wayfarer Wearers Union are Brad Pitt, Zac Efron and Lindsay Lohan. Want your own pair? Check out our version of Kate’s black retro sunglasses today!

Alexander McQueen Wills Fortune To Dogs

July 26th, 2011

Late fashion icon Lee Alexander McQueen left $80,000 of his $25 million fortune to his beloved pet dogs.

The Scottish designer was depressed when he committed suicide in Feb. 2010, but he proved his love and devotion to his pooches by putting aside a chunk of his riches to ensure they will be pampered for the rest of their lives. In financial documents made public, McQueens siblings, houskeepers, and charities were also revealed as the benefactors.

Lee’s obeneficiaries include:

• Three sisters and two brothers: $375,000 each
• Two housekeepers: $75,000 each
• Godson, niece and nephews: $75,000 each
• Animal charities (Battersea Dogs Cats Home and The Blue Cross): $150,000 each
• The London Buddhist Centre: $150,000
• The Terrace Higgins Trust (a charity that promotes sexual health and safe sex): $150,000

He left the remainder of his estate in a trust for his own Sarabande charity – which shares a name of his S/S 07 collection – and asked that they consider using this money to fund grants for students at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, where he studied fashion.

An April inquest revealed that Lee took his own life on Feb. 11, 2010, after a long battle with depression, including pressures from work and his mother’s death. Police found a book at the designer’s London flat with a note: Look after my dogs, sorry, I love you, Lee.

The McQueen Fashion House is currently in the hands of head designer Sarah Burton, who designed Princess Catherines royal wedding dress earlier this year.

Who wants to go fishing with him?

No.617 in a limited series – This is you, the male Swide reader. No?

I can’t find any pricing information on your look, I can’t find anyinformation on your name. It has to be you, admit it. So let’s analyze your outfit together? You did quite a good job mixing and matching the whole Dolce&Gabbana collection.

The knitwear that looks like a shirt goes very well with the simple white tshirt inside. The jeans are not too skinny which is good because it’s almost summer and the last thing you want is to have is a strong fabric touching your skin.

You are a modern day gentleman so of course you will change your rather chic flip flops into elegant shoes at night. Yet I must admit that the sandals are a big thumbs up, it suits you very well. But between us, how much did you pay for them? I need a pair as well. Yes, I’m going to Seychelles this summer, can hardly wait.

You have no necklace, good choice. With the hot weather, it is a no-no situtation accesorizing up, I know.

Maybe you can open up a few more buttons, it’s quite hot here. But suit yourself, if you don’t want to, it’s fine.

I like your belt, it’s Dolce&Gabbana, I saw it on a celebrity magazine the other day. Why won’t you tell me how much it costs… Come on!

Ah the bag to die for… That’s where you hid your shoes, isn’t it? Cool, I’m gonna go get them, you look almighty fine with the sandals anyways… What was your name again?

Fat Gold’s Daft Punk homage t-shirt

July 24th, 2011

I can imagine someone getting a bit over-excited about this shirt and running through Mintees-town screaming Rip! Rip! Manticores assemble! (not that Im saying Mintees is over-reactionary like that, its just that a lot of ripoffs are discovered and discussed there), but Im fairly sure that in this case it can be called an homage to the iconic Daft Punk logo.
