How to Maintain Lace Front Wigs

June 22nd, 2011

Lace front wigs are an excellent option for women who seek varied hair lengths, colors and styles without the dangers of damaging their real hair. The versatility and relative convenience of lace front wigs make them a sound investment; however, proper maintenance of the pieces are paramount to extending their structural and aesthetic longevity. Maintaining lace front wigs takes a bit of diligence, but is well worth the investment of your time.

1.Store the lace front wig on the foam mannequin head while you are not wearing it. Doing so will not only help the wig maintain its shape, but significantly lessen the chance of the wig knotting and tangling if kept elsewhere.

2.Store the lace front wig on the foam mannequin head while you are not wearing it. Doing so will not only help the wig maintain its shape, but significantly lessen the chance of the wig knotting and tangling if kept elsewhere.

3.Spray a non-oil based adhesive glue remover around the perimeter of your hairline before attempting to remove the lace front wig. Allow the lace to naturally raise from your skin instead of forcing removal, as this may cause significant hair breakage around and premature decomposition of the lace itself.

4.Shampoo and condition the lace front wig no more than once every two weeks, if possible. This can be done while wearing the wig or setting it on a mannequin head, although the use of cool water to thoroughly rinse the hair should be kept consistent.

5.Allow the lace front wig to air dry after washing. Like real hair, wigs maintain a healthier appearance when not overly exposed to heat styling.

Demi Moore: Elephant Advocate

June 22nd, 2011

While her husband, Ashton Kutcher, casts for Two and a Half Men, Demi Moore is helping save elephants in Georgia. She wrote a letter to the Board of Commissioners in Fulton county to encourage them to stop using bullhooks on elephants, which are  used to pierce the elephants skin to force them to perform circus acts.

She said The elephants deserve our kindness, respect and protection. Her force got the bill passed and hopes to get other counties to follow in Fultons lead. Moore is proud with the decision. She says, Elephants are sensitive and intelligent creatures and only people lacking in those qualities themselves would need to use a bullhook. Even though circus workers think bullhooks are needed to properly train the elephants, there will be more action taken to minimize the use of them in other counties.

Her aviators allow her to better help the elephants because her eyes are being protected from the sun. She is something like Super Woman while hubby Ashton is working on casting for Charlie Sheens position on Two and a Half Men. What an unbelievable couple. I wonder what will come next for the two of them. Get your gold Polarized Aviators today and help save an elephant from the pain of piercing bullhooks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KANYE OMARI WEST!!!

June 21st, 2011

Happy Born Day to our favorite rapper (and friend) Kanye West. The Grammy award winning recording artist/producer turns 34 years old today, June 8th. In honor of the day that the creative genius first saw sunlight, check out 34 personal birthday messages from our friends on /Tumblr and a heartfelt excerpt of his that we discovered online

I couldn’t handle school. I just felt like it wasn’t for me. I felt like the outcast. No one understood me. So I dropped out. Don’t judge me for that, but you already are. I wanted to follow my dreams. School wasn’t for me. Well, I followed my dreams. I’m successful too. The girl I loved was still with me. The only other girl in the world that cared about me was with me. I was on top of the world. I was touching the sky. I felt good. I was the best and I wanted people to know it. People began to judge me. Telling me I’m arrogant and self centered. Why? Well because I poured my soul into my art and spoke from the heart. I didn’t let that phase me. The unexpected then happened. The only girl that truly loved me past away. The other one that I loved broke my heart. My life began to go into a downward motion. I was lost. Heartbreaks took over my life. I was still judged. I was the self centered egotistic jerkoff everyone loved to hate. Then I found another girl and I let her into my life. It’s hard to open up when you’ve gone through what I have. But I did and I loved her and she loved me. I regrettably made bad mistakes. I’m human and I learned from them. Apparently the girl that I loved, The girl that I let into my life didn’t see it that way and left me. I was heart broken again. I left. I wanted to disappear. I did just that. Now I’m back and loved by some and hated by others because I’m human and I’ve made mistakes. Mistakes of speaking my mind and mistakes of letting others into my life. I am Kanye West. I’m just like you. Human. Kanye West

Victoria Beckham: Designer, Mother, Humanitarian

May 30th, 2011

Victoria Beckham has been busy lately.

According to Mail Online, the “minimalistic navy” dress she wore to Prince William and Miss Catherine “Kate” Middleton’s wedding last month was of her own design with shoes “custom-made by Christian Louboutin” and a “pillbox tifter by Philip Treacy.”

Since the wedding, Victoria and her honey David have scheduled a cesarean section for their fourth child to be born in the U.S. in early July, according to celeb buzz.

Humanitarian at heart, Celebrity Charity Events Examiner Cathy O’Brien from Examiner.com reports that Victoria will also be among the celebrities that will be designing t-shirts for Vogue Japan and GQ’s new Save Japan! Project. Moreover,Victoria declared on her personal account that she will be backing Missing People’s new tweet campaign to try to locate missing children.

Users will retweet posts about missing children to spread awareness across the twitter network. “As a mum myself I can’t imagine anything worse,” Victoria said in an interview with Manchester Evening News, “which is why I am going to be supporting The Big Tweet for Missing Children. Please join me and re-tweet some of the appeals for missing children.”

We love Victoria for many reasons: her kind heart, her hunky husband, and of course for her style. To get a very Victoria look, check out our version of Vic’s brown aviators.

Nicki Minaj Takes Over High School for the Day

May 21st, 2011

Rapper Nicki Minaj visits Chicagos Collins Academy High School for the Get Schooled Foundation. During her visit, she presented scholarships, helped teach a freshman English class, and joined MTVs Sway Calloway for an assembly to honor students and teachers, as well as discuss the importance of education.

If I didnt have an education, I would have probably signed a horrible contract. A lot of you guys want to be in the entertainment business, but the key word is business if you look at it as just entertainment, youll fail, says the LaGuardia high school alum.
